Figure in the Landscape Workshops
My friend Lance Keimig organizes every year the Mono Lake Photography Workshop. These workshops offer night photography, large format and nude in the landscape classes (which I teach).
The Nude in the Landscape workshop uses the beautiful landscapes of Mono Lake, Tioga Pass and upper Yosemite to explore the relationships between human body and nature. The major aim of this workshop is to learn how to make meaningful photographic connections between them. Practical aspects such as working with models, identifying suitable sites, and dealing with legal issues are also addressed. Workshop participants shoot extensively during four days in a variety of settings. Daily dialogue and critique are provided on images shot with digital camera (film cannot be processed during the workshop).
I will not teach this class in 2008, please check again next year.
